Not too much to report tonight... Rusty is feeling about the same.
Earlier, he was having some chest pain which made us worry about the possibility of fluid on his lungs. They did a chest x-ray though and for now, everything looks clear.
He was able to shower and get out of bed a little bit today- which made him feel better. But, then the fever started to come back and he has been in bed since about 2pm.
He still isn't able to keep any food down, but has discovered popsicles which are helping.
The blood cultures should be back Wednesday night and we will have a better idea what is going on. Once they know what bacteria is causing the infection, they can determine whether or not he is on the appropriate antibiotics. He will also have to be tolerating food, and be fever free for a period of time (I am guessing at least 24 hours) before they will decide to discharge him.
He does have the same nurse that he had last night though. Let's just say... I am not her biggest fan and I don't think that she is mine. Oh well. Take good care of my husband and we won't have a problem.
Thank you again to all of you that have called, emailed, texted, and facebooked (is that a verb?). I hope that it shows Rusty how truly loved he is. He received some beautiful flowers from our friends Dwayne and Karen today and he had some wonderful friends and family come to visit- Chris, Mom and Dad, Tim and Addison, Sally, a pastor from our church came to pray with us, and sweet Tami brought us a wonderful basket full of goodies. We are so blessed to have so many people pulling for us in this life- no matter what the situation, big or small!

We love you both so much and all of the Virginia clan said to tell you they love you.
Ya'll are in our prayers. Tell Rusty Joshua and I are praying for a fast recovery an hope that he feels a little better tomorrow. I am also going to pray for a new night nurse for yours and his sake. We love ya'll.
I guess nothing comes easy for you two!!! Try not to beat the nursing staff, it won't do Rusty any good if you get kicked out of the hospital! You've got prayers coming all the way from Singapore!
