Please say a prayer...

This is my absolute favorite picture of him- this is the face he was making when he lost a Christmas Eve family game of "Apples to Apples"! He is such a hoot!

Please say a prayer for my father in law, Tom. He is on his way into surgery to have an emergency appendectomy. He went to the hospital in Orange with a temperature of 104.5 and they are transporting him by ambulance to Beaumont. As long as it has not ruptured, it should be a simple surgery, but please pray that for his safety and comfort. He is currently in a lot of pain. Also, for comfort for my mother in law, Sharon as she waits. Thank you!
Update: When they got him into surgery, his appendix had already ruptured. He is out of surgery now, but they are having a hard time keeping his temperature down. The doctors are saying that he will be in the hospital for 4-5 days for iv antibiotics and possibly another surgery.
2nd update (Monday, 3/24/08): Dad is still in the hospital and in a lot of pain. Despite the antibiotics, he still has a fever that they cannot keep it down. He hasn't been able to get much sleep and he is very uncomfortable. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses that are caring for him. And for his healing and comfort.

Wow! I will be praying...my Dad just had his appendix out on Tuesday. One minute he's complaining about a stomach ache and the next he's doubled over in pain and on his way to the hospital. Scary! But he's doing fine now. Keep us updated on your end.
