Our weekend

Rusty went on a "guy's weekend" to play golf in Glen Rose, Texas, which is about an hour and a half southwest of Fort Worth. (Don't ask me how they picked that town!) So, I tagged along and used to opportunity to visit some friends in Dallas. I only lived in Dallas for a year and though it was not the best year in my life, I really miss the town. It is just so much prettier than Houston. Plus, we don't have BDs Mongolian BBQ or Abuelos! Yum!

While he played golf all day on Saturday, I went to visit my college roommate Angela and her family in Lewisville. She has a beautiful new home and a new daughter that was born in December. This was the first chance that I had gotten to meet Ashlynn. I can't believe how fast her boys are growing, too. This is Brayden
and RylanJust because he told me not to, I have to post this picture of her husband J.R. For someone who makes so much fun of me for having a blog, he sure does read it a lot! :)
Thanks for letting me come visit, J.R. and Angela! It was great to see you guys! I wish we got to visit more often!

I also got to visit our friends Luke, Katie, and Emily for a few hours. Katie and Luke went through so much before they were blessed with Emily. Rusty and I spent so much time praying for her precious life and it is such a blessing to see her grow! She is a sweet baby that is going to be a little Katie clone- stylish, smart and determined! I can't wait to watch her personality grow and see the young woman that she will become! I was too busy oohing and gooing over Emily and her cousin Cole to take any pictures, but here are a few I took on our last visit. It is now Sunday afternoon and I hanging out in the lobby of the Comfort Inn. Apparently, there is a beautiful creek in Glen Rose and I had grandiose plans of spending the morning taking pictures while Rusty plays golf. However, he accidentally took the car keys to the golf course with him. I had to check out of the room, so here I sit in the lobby, blogging. It is passing the time, but also giving J.R. and Kyle some fresh material to hassle me about. Just trying to make it easy for you, boys.

One more thing, if any of you have been following my friend Erica's blog, she has been scheduled for her egg retrieval on Tuesday. Please say a prayer for her and Colin as they face this very exciting, hope filled, nerve-racking day. It will be the day that their little babies are being fertilized! She has been such an encouragement to Rusty and I as we walk through our journey and I feel so blessed that God keeps crossing our paths in this life! Hang in there, Erica! You are so strong and I know that God is going to provide for you guys... I am just excited to see how!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful weekend! I cherish opportunities to catch-up with old friends - what a blessing!

Thank you for the prayers and encouragement. I appreciate you rallying the prayer warriors for us. I am getting more and more nervous as the day gets closer, but deep in my heart I have peace and fully trust that God has got this covered. I appreciate your support, my friend!

Have a great week!
