Still I will praise Him!

It's funny to me how I sing a worship song 1000 times and then one day, I finally hear the words. And it is usually words that I need to hear on that particular day. This morning we were singing "You never let go" and the words hit me like a ton of bricks.

Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle
of the storms of this life
I won’t turn back
I know You are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear?
Whom then shall I fear?
Chorus:
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming
for the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth

Yes, I can see a light that is coming
for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You,
still I will praise You

I am in the midst of a storm right now, but I do not have to fear. His perfect love surrounds me and will never let go. In the good times and in the bad, He never fails me. He is always carrying me. This is just a season in our lives. It seems like forever right now, but someday we will be on the other side infertility. Until then, I choose to praise Him. I choose to proclaim that He is good, He is sovereign, and He never lets go!

This morning was our first Sunday at Houston's First.... I'm guessing you go there too?? Cause I about bawled during that whole song!

I found you through my sister (Jaclyn's) blog. Just came by to say hi!

Wow! I have heard that song so many times before and never really listened to the words either...so powerful and so appropriate for our journeys.

Thanks for sharing. Music has been a powerful thing in my life over the past year, and I love having more and more songs to mark this journey.

Have a great week!
