Out on the town

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great day with family and though the aTm loss was as ugly as expected, the Cowboys won, so there was a little bit of joy with the men in our house. I was thrilled to be out of bed, but mostly to be showered! I tried to take it pretty easy, but found that I got tired very easily. You get dizzy really easily when you have been in bed for 6 days!
In the last 9 days, I have left the house 4 times: to the doctor and back, to CVS to fill a prescription, to the hospital and back, and again to the hospital and back. Needless to say, I was beginning to get a bit of cabin fever.
So, I was all for it when Rusty suggested a trip to The Woodlands. Sure, he wanted to go to the Tweeter store closing sale and Golf Galaxy, but anything beat another day in bed. We spent the day braving the crowds at a few stores and then went to see Four Christmases. It was really cute. But like most outings intended for him, I was able to find a few activities for me as well.
We went to Market Street and walked around a little bit. I got to buy a few prizes at my favorite store and eat at one of my favorite restaurants. Not too bad for my first night out on the town. Certainly a lot of activity compared to walking to the bathroom an back.
I am still feeling pretty good. It is easy to be neurotic, over analyzing every twinge that I feel. I know that I am not in control, so I am just trying to take good care of myself and leave the rest up to the God. I don't know if I will ever have the opportunities to hold these babies, but I am going to enjoy every day that I have with them!
