We are home!!!!

I am happy to report that Rusty remained fever free all night and we were able to come home just a little bit ago! I can't tell you how excited we both are to sleep in our own bed tonight.

Leaving the hospital with our favorite nurse, Tracey!

Rusty is doing really well. He does not feel sick at all, but is pretty weak from several days in bed with little to eat. I think that he will slowly be able to build his strength back up. He is going to do as much work from home as possible and will go in tomorrow for a few hours, but mostly he is going to lay low for a couple of days and re-coop.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I just can't say enough how much we appreciate all of the love and support that we received in the hospital. It was so encouraging to know that there were so many people praying and rooting for Rusty to get well.
I have to give a special thanks to Tim and Sally for all that you did to keep our household running while we were gone: being there for installation crews, paying the lawn guys, and mostly, keeping our crazy dogs!
Any so many others sent gifts, cards, called, visited and emailed. Every well wish encouraged us and lifted Rusty's spirits.
We are so blessed to have each of you!

Hi,

I've been a lurker on your blog for awhile now, but I think this is the first time commenting. I can't even remember how I came across your blog.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading your blog - your honesty and openness about all your struggles with infertility - you handle it all with such grace & dignity. We also struggled with infertility for over 2 years and it was like nothing else - only those who have walked that path can truely understand. We didn't really share our story when we were going through it - it was a tough time that we dealt with privately partly b/c I felt embarrassed. However, through the blogging world, it has been so reassuring to read about others in the same struggle that I can now openly talk about it with no problem.

Sorry for rambling on forever - just wanted to let you know you are in my prayers to one day have your happy ending.

Kristen :)

p.s. Glad to hear that your husband is home and on the road to recovery!

Thanks for keeping us all posted on Rusty. I can really relate at this point. I am on day 2 in Texas Women's hospital with severe mastitis. Dr. just told me I may have to stay through the weekend :( No fun!
