Yes, I am still alive.

After several recent complaints, I decided that I should just post to let everyone know that I am still alive. We have just had nothing exciting happening in our life that is worthy of blogging about.

What's been going on:
  • Rusty is doing really well. He was back at work the next day. He does have to take several weeks of oral antibiotics, but then he should be back 100%.
  • We still have another week or so until we get the remainder of test results from our visit. We don't have another appointment scheduled, but are waiting to get the phone call any day. After that, we should have a better idea of what our options are. We will then make an appointment to see the fertility specialist in Austin to talk about our plan of action.
  • I have been working on a project for our Sunday school teacher who is leaving to teach another class. We are all writing him letters of thanks and then I am compiling them into a scrapbook for him. I am not a scrapbooker, so it has been interesting. But, I have actually been pretty proud of the job so far. I know it is nothing compared to what some of my very talented friends do, but it's good for me!
  • I am also planning a baby shower for my sweet friend, Luann! I can't wait to celebrate her and her beautiful boys, Beckett and Elijah! Tami  has been sweet enough to offer to have the shower at her house. She makes the most amazingly beautiful cakes and I cannot wait to see what she has in store for Luann!
  • The dogs are making me crazy. We fixed Hobby's loneliness by getting George, but now we have a little rascal on our hands for sure. That dog can escape from anywhere! Today, we plan on installing chicken wire in the back yard. I am sure that it will work for a day, then we will be investing in something else!
  • We had our friends Robin and Julie over recently. She is a very talented decorator (amongst other things) and he is a fabulous construction guru. They went through our house and gave us lots of ideas and projects to do. We are waiting to see where we are headed with the fertility stuff before we know how much we can budget for the house. I am so ready to get started though! I want to redo EVERYTHING about my house!
  • We are leaving for vacation in 12 days! We are going to Reynold's Plantation with our friends Robert and Kim to celebrate our 4th anniversary and Kim's birthday! Kim and I will hit the spa and pool all day while the boys golf, then enjoy some wonderful dinners at night. I can't wait!
  • Today is my daddy's 65th birthday! Happy Birthday, Dad! I love you!
