Our appointment

Thank you all for your prayers today.

Our appointment went as well as we could have hoped for. We were extremely impressed with the physician and his entire staff. He spent a lot of time with us and made us feel so at ease. He not only addressed all of the physical issues, but even spent time discussing the emotions that guide all of these decisions.

Today, we decided to go ahead and do some of the initial testing needing if we are ever to proceed with an ivf cycle with him. We know that this may not be an option, but decided to go ahead and do it all while we were in town, as opposed to taking another trip to do it. The doctor called us personally within a few hours to discuss the results of these tests and spent even more time answering questions.

Unfortunately, he was not able to give us a definitive plan yet. There are some additional tests that he would like us to have and he has referred us to another specialist in Houston. He seemed a little bit frustrated that these tests have not already been done by our previous doctors, but is confident that the new specialist will be able to determine what is going on. We have already made the appointment and will be going on June 12th for those tests. Based on those results, we will then be able to determine what our options are.

Even though we were not given any real news, we feel like we have a bit more direction. We both left the office with a true peace that no matter how we proceed, we want to do it with this new doctor. It will make things a little bit more difficult, but the quality of care is incomparable to any that we have received elsewhere. It will be well worth the drive.
